Back from Bali

Summary (Company Trip to Bali):

Day 1, Thursday 26th: arrive near midnight due to Garuda flight delay. Reach resort, unpack bag, bathe.. zzz at ... 2am. Have to meet at lobby by... 9am. feeling abit unwell.

Day 2: nice buffet breakfast. feeling sneezish. throat pain. dumb full-day guided tour. bring us to woodcraft shop and jewellery making joint. some volcano scenic place. a temple which i didn't enter. was quite sick at end of day. bought handphone chains and stuff for parents. none for me. dinner was seafood which salvaged the farked up day. we spent most of the time on the BUS. travelling. DUH.

Day 3: free & easy BUT must be at poolside by 4pm for team activities. full blown flu/cough. book bus to shopping area (stores/side stalls etc). hot hot day. developed a headache by noon. all i got was krispy kreme and a fake tattoo (very cool btw). back at resort. nobody wanted to play games coz all too shacked. walked by the beach. popped panadols. dinner had some traditional bali dance accompanying it and the music made my ears rung. headache back again. night time party session at kol's room. didn't drink. can't eat peanuts too. went to bed feeling weak.

Day 4: supposed to go with some kols back to shopping area. decided to pull out coz headache gone but afraid to kena again. so stayed in resort with some pals. slept in. ate nice breakfast. packed bag, watched Al Pacino tribute on starworld (salvaged trip!). check out. side trip to billabong on way to airport. bought stuff for mum. reached sg at 6+pm.

Conclusion:
Sightsee sucked. Beach was nice. Falling sick was farking suay. Didn't shop anything for myself. Bought trinkets for friends (im so sorry! it IS from the ♥). Itinerary was abit diaaaonng.

Ok lah, my fun came from chatting with colleagues rather than shopping/touring.

And to end this post, here's my fake tattoo!

Uh yeah.. I'm going to work tomorrow with that on my arm. And 4 others in my dept had fake tattoos too. Yep, only 5 did it. And we are from L*****ing. How apt.. lol

aiiyooooh

On positive note, parents are on a trip to Hainan Dao, China. I think they always wanted to visit that place but well, never really had the chance. So a CC organised trip appeared and off they go to 游山玩水. Hehehe. 1 week holi. Good for them. I want them to enjoy la.

On negative note, I have to take care of the dog. No la, I'm not seeing him as a bother but he is very rebellious now. Or stupid. Pick one. Bad enough I have to leave him alone the whole day while I'm at work. Feel bad when it rains coz I know he's alone and afraid of thunder. But when I come home and see pools of pee here and there, at balcony, kitchen toilet... /rawr!! I never beat him la... I just grumbled and mop floor lor...

On MORE negative note, this morning, I found out my monitor died. No led light. Finisto. Black screen of death. (at least it ain't my motherboard. choi, touch wood!) BOO. But hmm monitor is cheaper now then when I bought it few years ago. Soo.. not so heart pain. I bought mine at S$499 if not wrong. Heard from Brud it's $200+ .. so I guess I will make a trip down on Sat. Bleah.

I repaired it before so.. I guess the replacement diode fused again. Sigh forget it la. No point fixing again. Not sure if warranty still there also.

Arghhh *flails arm*

Music for the Soul

Hmm was feeling a little squeamish just now. I was reading newspaper and listening to my songs but somehow the music was irritating me. Them rock/pop songs.

I remembered when I was feeling >_< or just down in the dumps, I would put on my Lesiem music (New Age). So I did. It worked man. I just felt less uptight and agitated. Soothing feeling and my nausea slowly dissipate.

I duno about you guys. But I guess music -does- sooth the beast (or watever ill feelings). I'm sure we all have a 'theme' song or a genre we adore.

I guess, for me, it has to be my precious Lesiem music. 95% of the song is not in English and maybe that's why it's good. You don't have to concentrate on the words since if it's a familiar language, one might have this tendency to really -listen-. So I just lose myself in the rhythm and harmony.

Am I speaking nonsense? Hahaha... maybe. All I know is, this works for me and it makes me happy whenever I listen to it. I have three of their albums and will definitely look forward to more of their works.

What about you folks? Have a song or a band that's close to your heart? As in not a flash-in-a-pan band, but well, something specific that will always lift your mood.

Cheerios.
