Ooo pressie!

Heya! Had a great dinner last night at Cream Bristro (Pacific Plaza). Very good foodie. Highly recommend the Breaded Mushroom!

And the girls bought me my birthday present - Stila Lip Glaze. Thanks so much!! Muacks! And poor Joey had a hard time trying to apply the 'tester' Glaze on me coz I kept squirming away and shifting backwards. The counter girl must think I'm a moron. Ugh.

Whooo... it's really pretty and it smells nice. But I'm not used to putting stuff on my face, well I'm getting a hang of Foundation + Pressed Powder combi. But it's so freaking ex, I better start using the glaze or else alot of people are going to come after me with knives.

Feeling really happy and excited coz I have been waiting a long time for a finalised call. And it came! Gonna be doing something really unique and I'm gonna be trained too. Took a risky step away from the Engineering path but all good things to those who wait!

Ikea Trip on Saturday!

Hihi, had a tiring but truly enjoyable Sat outing with some villagers. Met EC and Ad first before going down to Queenstown. Then Jie joined us and off to Ikea for lunch! Took a very interesting cab ride where the unker was asking us if we were going to buy furniture coz we getting married. Erm. o_O

Dewei joined us after meal. But he wants to get tennis racket and Jie has to leave early so we went to Queenstown Shopping first. Wah, did alot of perusing and my EC got buy things too.

While shopping, EC and me fooling around with the bats. Haha!

Jie left after Dewei got his racket then the four of us went back to Ikea and did major walking. It's very shuang to see those sofa sets man. *sigh* Wana revamp room one day when I have the extra cash for it. *grins*

Bought drawer compartments and then Brud and SM joined us for the last two hours of walking. Next stop was dinner! Went all the way to Blk 85 and we ended the outing with a great meal of BCM, Ngo Hiang and Orh Luat! Yum~

A response to Ad's post regarding the MRT

Yeah man, I get that too. I think everybody does. Especially bad would be at City Hall mrt, when having to go opposite to take twain to Orkeed side.

Wah.. people just RUN lor. I mean.. ok if you really late..fine. But the train that has flashing lights and almost doing the ding-dong tune is sorta packed liao. It's abit duh to RUN then barge your way in. Can't you wait?? (or maybe it's just me, too slack to run.) But it's quite true that the doors area is crammed yet the middle portion can still fit more people in.

Also, the gahmen's idea of putting yellow arrows are abit moot. Pretty pointless since nobody really bothered to actually stand according to yellow lines. Starting yes, while waiting. People 乖乖 stand to show they are not breaking law. THEN, the train approaches and the arrows merged! *shifts nearer to middle arrow* Door opens, dudes want to exit.. and those who migrated simply tilt their shoulders, inching in while at same time avoiding those coming out. Making the whole entire process slow.

What's the point.... ....

Here's a few theories. Wonder if it makes sense.

1) There is this 'phobic' feel that if you stand in the middle and the front doors are packed, userA will find difficulty getting out when his/her stop has arrived. They want to skip on all those 'Excuse me excuse me' move. Coz when UserA is squeezing her way out, chances are the next stop has more users trying to squeeze -in-

2) And continuing from point 1, maybe they are afraid of missing their stop too. Like midway squeezing and suddenly the 'Doors closing' sign is heard. Which I note, makes people very gan cheong, afraid of getting kiap I suppose.. So more shoving and pushing.

3) They got no blain.

2nd April - Seoul Garden!

Hee hee, day after my birthday, had a very nice dinner outing with 3 gals whom I know since secondary school days. I call them my all-gal-gang. Haha. Got EH, YF and RH. CY wasn't free coz she got an appointment liao.

It was raining sooo heavily so I left the house abit late, then EH had to give up her cosy seat and exit the train at the platform since I wasn't there yet. Finally met her and we talk cok all the way to City Hall. There was a funny story about a fanatic and Wiki site. Too evil to say out so I shall :X (but it's so damn funny)

YF and RH were there liao. *grins* Dinner was at Seoul Garden, Marina. Very long never eat there already. So as usual, I'm the soup maker haha. Then start 'penging' chicken meat and taking some cooked food. I went to get rice. Don't ask me why. I just did. Best thing was, long ago I told YF to remind me never to take rice at Seoul Garden but she didn't! Ugh..

It was cool.. talked alot, laughed alot, ate alot. Feels great to just sit down and have a nice meal and a chit chat session. We don't meet very often. Maybe some weekends or for bdays or chalet. Knew them since Sec 3 (and all different class too) but me and EH were same class in JC. And YF in neighbour-class. RH and CY different JCs. Haha so it's very cool that we still are close to one another. You can always count on them to be there when needed. Especially EH, *muacks* never a time when you not free for me to rant to. Haha, so paiseh, don't know how many times I msn you to complain about stuff. *huggzzz* I find myself very relaxed when I'm with them. Coz in a way, we are rather alike. We are the carefree souls. Warm fuzzy feeling whenever I meet them.

Bought my pressie at Tower Records, thanks guys ;) It's two vcds of YG! Lol. Think only EH know what I mean. Happiness!

Helloooo folks! Heh just got back not long ago from a nice birthday celebration! *beams*

Thanks to Dear, EH, Mini Circle and SM for celebrating my bday. Dinner at Fish & Co where I had a fantastic meal of fish and chips (change to rice) and mussels with garlic/butter sauce. The sauce is heavenly.. I simply soaked my rice and fish up with it. Ooo... Then they got me chocolate cake which the FnC people brought out. I had to stand up as they did a (loud) birthday rap for me. Yes, it's like the last time I got 'saboed' la. But luckily.. this time round, I didn't have to hold a stupid sparkler while standing on the chair.

One of them wanted to take a polaroid but nooo, the camera had to jam up. So no (physical) memories.. well unless you count using camera phone. Though the quality was abit bad so the cake looked like it was on fire... Doh!

Anyway Dear and EH had to leave after dinner (abt 8pm) but the remaining us went to Settler's Cafe -- boardgame cafe-- which was opposite Katong Mall. We walked there and as our group was small, we got a seat immediately. Brud and SM came late for FnC so their dinner was at the cafe instead. Ordered the 2-hours Deluxe which comes with 6 drinks and foodie.

The waiter introduced the game called Trans America. Totally new to us. Rather fun man. The map has alot of state names on it, represented by points. With lines interconnecting everywhere. Each of us get a handful of 'sticks' -- train tracks, where we place on the lines. 5 different coloured regions. So 5 coloured cards (each card one state name) each. The whole idea is to use the tracks to link your 5 states together. The hidden idea is to make use of your friends' tracks to reach your destination. Each turn can only put 2 sticks at one time. Anyway, when someone manages to connect all 5 of his/her states, the game ends. (well I'm leaving out some stuff, abit hard to explain without diagram).

It's free flow of games la, so when you get bored, just go to the shelves and pick what you want. After a few rounds, we played Taboo. Something like charades but we use words to describe. I think group too small and the words some quite difficult so we gave up on that and moved on to Cluedo. My first time playing! Very fun! *grins* Mr Green with the Candlestick in Hall! I had candlestick and leadpipe left. And it's all because my stupid brud withheld information. Ass. I wasn't very effective in jotting clues so my 'clue sheet' was simply filled with 'x's and '1's and '0's.

After one round of Cluedo, we went back to Trans America, played abit more and we eventually ended the night with Monopoly (SG version). Oh that was also one of my rare times playing that game. Haha, I suck at it man. Totally. All I had to survive on was one Utility, 2 train stations and 4 different coloured lands. My income came from Community Chest and passing Go. In the end, I somehow exchanged my land for the other Utility making it complete. Then abit more of exchanging/selling here and there and I got 1 complete land and 2 different coloured ones. But as my properties were so pathetic, I ended up paying large sums of rent coz there were 'house mines' everywhere. Wow! I sold my train station and one property. A few more turns and then ended up with $660 dollars on hand, rolled and got a $1500 rent payout. I have to now sell my Utilities! Which by then, the waiter informed us that the cafe is closing in 5 minutes time. Bottomline: I can't be property agent.

It was near 2am when we left the cafe. We actually sat and played for near 6 hours! Lol. Truly great fun.
