Romero Canyon Trail hike on Wed!

Howdy folks! I had another fantastic hike :)

From the Romero Canyon Trail to the Romero Pools in the Catalina Mountains. It's 5.6 miles (round-trip) and it lasted from 8.40am to 1.20pm (including a lunch break). Lots of steep climbing and plenty of rocky slopes!

Legs were aching the very night. But it was a gorgeous hike. No regrets turning up.

Another hike!

Hiya folks!

Went for another hike on Wednesday. It's the Anza Trail from the Tubac Presidio State Historic Park to the Tumacacori National Historic Park. Took about an hour to drive from the apartment to reach the head of the trail.

Length was approximately 3.2 miles and hardly any elevation. Only a little itty bit of the trail was rocky, otherwise, it's mostly dust and sand. Terrible, I hated it (that kind of path). I had to cover my nose/mouth with a tissue.

The trail cuts through forests instead of mountains and we had to cross 3 bridges over the Santa Cruz River. (Well, the bridges were merely planks placed across the stream)

The walk lasted about 2 hours plus then we spent some time at a Mission. We saw a very old church (it's there since 18xx) and it's currently undergoing restoration. It's sorta like a musuem too. Something about the Missionaries teaching the natives survival skills like agricultural etc. The Missionari main task was to convert the natives to Catholic. And they had antique tools on display like stone axe, bowls...

About 1pm, we went for lunch at Wisdom's, a VERY VERY GOOD Mexican restaurant in Tumacacori. Total about 8 bucks each. ;)

Apart from the 'cold' section where we have ENDLESS supply of sashimi (and my wonderful unagi), there's the 'hot' section too.

Fried rice, noodles, tempura, udon/ramen, miso soup, salmon with cream sauce, teppanyaki (order from the chef), grilled prawns, grilled mussles that has a fantastic sauce over it and beef sukiyaki.

The desert section consists of crepe and a choice of fruit stuffing, mango/green tea ice cream, creme bule, cookies, tiramisu cake, choco cakes and fruit tarts.

That's me with my second bottle of Sake. Getting a little light-headed.

Some hotel pics

Ok, I'm back! It was a mini trip so let me show you some hotel pics I took first.

Bellagio hotel. It's unique feature is the musical fountain. Has music playing too. Very cool man. Sentosa sucks.

Inside Bellagio: Conservatory. It changes themes. Last time I was here, it was some other 'pattern'.

That's the Paris Paris, LV hotel. Duh, Eiffel Tower mah.

Venetian Hotel, with a fake lake outside and people actually paying to go on gondola rides. AND the gondola dudes sing for tips. The best part is.. there's a fake lake INSIDE the hotel too.
